I decided to try a desert other than baklava at Apex’s wonderful Greek restaurant XIOS (ΧΙΩΣ).
I tried the kataifi, which the menu describes as:
“Shredded phyllo stuffed with walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg topped with powdered sugar and light syrup”.
Just felt like sharing.

Still sounds vaguely like baklava, but in shredded wheat form?
Sadly, I’ll never get to Apex.
You can make it Apex someday. Dream big!
Aimee, it’s lighter than baklava. I bet any of our local Medi shops would have it.
On a related note, Saladelia has Chocolate Whoppers now, by Mad Hatter. I have not compared them to Foster’s, but I think I am required to. :p
